Anatomy & Physiology of the skin, Phases of wound healing, Classifications of wounds: Identification & Treatment, Wound Care Dressings: Properties & Uses, Debridement Modalities, Role of Wound Care Nurse / Wound Care Medical Assistant: Assessment, Documentation, Infection Control, and Consultation, Monitoring & Reporting, Skills Lab: Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Dressing, Wound culture technique, Compression therapy and Aseptic dressing change technique.

Wound Care Nurse Certification (WCN-C)
Premier training program formulated to meet the basic educational needs of the nurses and other medical professionals working in different clinical settings. WCN-C provides a comprehensive review about different types of wounds and management strategies currently utilized nationally. In addition; skills competency session provides each attendee with the hands-on experience needed to function as a wound care professional. Conservative Sharp Wound Debridement Certification (CSWD-C)
National premier program formulated to meet the educational needs of the Wound Care professionals working in the different clinical settings. CSWD-C training course is developed to meet and exceeds the guidelines set forth by the State Board of Nursing nationwide. This program includes a course review of wound care and role of debridement, skills competency lab to provide attendees the hands-on experience needed to appropriately debride, and course ends with a skill check off session. Course attendance will increase the knowledge, skills, ability and confidence of practicing wound care professionals and improve patient outcomes.
